The “Biggest Little City in the World” may be famous for its casinos, but it is also home to the Nevada Museum of Art, the only accredited art museum in the state.

If you're more interested in wheels, visit the amazing National Automobile Museum, which has an astounding collection of rare cars.

The Northeastern Nevada Museum features several interesting exhibits, like the bones of a 2 million year old mastodon affectionately called Murray and artworks of Nevada artist Jean LeGassick.

Head for Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest for a day hike up the Ruby Mountain or a picnic at Cathedral Rock.
