San Francisco Climate

“The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.” One simply cannot write about the San Francisco weather without making a reference to this often misattributed quote. Although it is in the always sunny Golden State, San Francisco has a surprisingly mild climate with moist winters and dry summers.

So When Is The Best Time To Visit?

The temperature is moderate all year long, so you can come over anytime. Just make sure to pre-book your Motorhome Rental and stay in RV Parks In San Francisco. Need help deciding? Here's a guide to the seasons in Frisco.

Summer

June and July in San Francisco are much cooler than in Los Angeles; the days are covered with fog. Although there are rare sunny days, the evenings can get very cold. There is barely any rain, however you need to have plenty of warm clothes and pack a rain jacket just in case. August is mostly dry, but still foggy and cold.

Autumn

The fog finally clears in September and October, when the temperature is much warmer and only the rare rainfall. Autumn has great camping weather, so bring the sunscreen along with a few warm clothes for the cool evenings. It may start pouring in November, though so you'll also need a rain jacket. Winter

The coldest months in San Francisco are in Winter, when the rainy season is in full swing. December is not as cold as January, and February gets the most rainfall. If you are coming during this period, be ready with your rain jacket and warm clothes.

Spring

The rain and cool temperature can get carried over into March. April is generally the sunniest month, and May brings in more of the sunshine, less of the rain. The weather is very pleasant in Spring, as long as you have your hat, sunscreen and some warm clothes for the cool evenings.
