Apart from being cute and aged, The Old Umbrella Shop is proud of its 19th century heritage profile. The Trust, who took over Shott's proprietorship, has played superhero preventing the quiant shop from being demolished by real estate villains. After all, the Umbrella Shop is the only surviving memoir of the past in Launceston. Housing century-old umbrellas and fashionable souvenirs, the shop has been considered the National Trust's Gift Shop & Information Center. Marvel at all the unusual items you might encounter in this little Victorian-designed building. Purchase some items to take home, or have a chat at the people inside; learn a thing or two about umbrellas, or maybe dig deeper into the amazing history of the Umbrella Shop.
