David Walsh is a genius. But others may assume he has gone way too overboard when he put up Mona, the Museum of Old & New Art. The museum is home to a collection of ancient Egyptian mummies and some of the most thought-provoking art exhibits to have ever been fashioned today. No labels or wall texts define each exhibit, so it is entirely up to a viewer's imagination and interpretation to make the most out of their day at Mona. Criticised when it opened, the museum still stands true to its mission of exploring human nature in terms of art. It houses many works of wonders, but it highly advices the faintest of hearts not to step in. It may resemble the odd, but hey, you wont find anywhere else like it in Hobart.
