Cowell Foreshore Caravan Park is only 17 kilometres from the Lucky Bay Sea SA ferry terminal. It is located on Franklin Harbour, in the heart of Cowell, and is within walking distance of local shops, hotels, children's playground, jetty and boat ramp.

Cowell is famous for its oysters and is part of the Seafood and Aquaculture Trail. It is also home to Australia's only commercial jade mine, which produces rare black jade.
