Killalea State Park provides a range of recreational facilities, while maintaining and enhancing the natural environment.

The Park comprises approximately 265 hectares of natural and modified landscapes, and eight kilometres of undeveloped coastline including beaches, headlands, extensive wetlands, estuary mangroves, an off-shore island and coastal rainforest remnants.

The Farm or Killalea Beach located within the Park is unique as it faces South East and is now reconsigned as a National Surfing Reserve.

Killalea boasts a beautiful camping area, which offers unpowered campsites in an idyllic secluded location. Campsites are numbered and are allocated by staff upon receipt of payment. Sites vary in size, and will be allocated to suit the number of campers, tents, caravans in each party.

Facilities include toilets, hot showers and a large under-cover electric barbecue area with seating.

The Park has great picnic facilities, walking tracks and a kiosk.
