Australia Trek the Trail
Mundaring is the place to be on September 21, as the Perth hills community presents Trek the Trail 2008. Witness or join in on this celebration as walkers and cyclists travel 7 kilometres along the railway reserve spur line, passing through scenic forested countryside on the way to the iconic Mundaring Weir.
While trekking the trail, the participants will get a chance to enjoy the art, entertainment and historic displays while walking through the natural beauty of the area. At the end of the trek, the celebration continues as the culmination starts with a community celebration that includes festival stalls, great food, fun entertainment and activities that is fit for the whole family. The event is free and open to all. The great thing about Trek is that it is non competitive, which means you can take as long as
you like to complete the route, or just complete a section of it. Combining the elements of the natural environment, health and fitness, arts and culture and history and heritage, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Mundaring is only a half an hour from Perth city, making this an attractive getaway for the day. Come over to Mundaring and Trek the Trail with us. Take note that this event will coincide with the start of the wildflower season.
