The University of South Australia's Mawson Lakes houses one of Adelaide's contemporary establishments known as Adelaide Planetarium. The Zeiss Jena ZPK1 star projector casts an artificial night sky onto the domed ceiling, providing an extensive live presentation of the solar system, stars and constellations. Adelaide Planetarium offers an in-depth look into the sky so you can learn about the stars and planets.

Operating Hours

Planetarium School Excursion Session Times:
One hour sessions commencing on the hour daily from 10:00am

Saturday Public Viewings:
first and third Saturday afternoon of each month (2:45pm - 4:00pm)

The Night Sky lecture with Paul Curnow [B.ED]:
10 week course every Tuesday starting January 17 2012 ending March 20 (7:30pm - 10:00pm)

Remarks

All shows are by appointment only, except for advertised open to the public sessions. Print out a map beforehand to avoid getting lost inside the University of South Australia's Mawson Lakes campus.
