Autumn

The days are still warm in March, although the temperature starts to get milder in April and May. There will be plenty of rainfall during Autumn so you'll need a rain jacket and warm clothes for the cool evenings as well.

Winter

Wellington winters are quite cold, so a winter jacket and several warm clothing are requirements for your trip. June is the wettest month of the year, but this doesn't mean that July and August don't get as much rainfall either.

Spring

Although September can still be too cold, you can look forward to warmer days in October and November. Spring still gets some rainfall, so make sure to pack a rain jacket, warm clothes for cool evenings and sunscreen for those days when the sun is out.
