Museum of Transport and Technology

805 Great North Road, Western Springs Auckland, North Island 1022

The Museum of Transport and Technology houses one of the largest collections of transportation vehicles such as civilian and military aircrafts, as well as other land vehicles. This multi-million dollar project opened in 1964, providing a visually stimulating experience for aviation enthusiasts. Visit MOTAT 1 with exhibits such as vintage traction engines, carriages, electrical equipment and space flight displays. A "colonial village" was also set up to resemble old fencible cottages, blacksmith shops and early houses.

Learn about New Zealand's aviation history at the Museum of Transport and Technology when you go on an Auckland campervan getaway. There are two holiday parks close to the museum. Need a motorhome for your trip? Simply enter your travel details into our Quote Calculator.
