Vehicles must be collected and returned to our branches (not airports). A transfer to the Backpacker Sleepervans branch from the Airport and vice versa is provided free of charge. This also includes airport area accommodation.Please advise Surname, Reservation Number, Arrival Terminal or hotel name and Number of Passengers requiring collection when you contact us. Our courtesy collection is normally within 30 minutes and operates up to 1 hour prior to close. ONCE NOTIFIED PLEASE ALLOW AMPLE TIME FOR THE COURTESY SHUTTLE TO COLLECT YOU. SOME UNAVOIDABLE DELAYS MAY OCCUR DURING BUSY PERIODS.
Airport - Upon arrival and collection of luggage please phone to arrange a transfer. Office staff will advise pick up location.
Airport Accommodation - When you have checked out of your accommodation, please contact the depot to arrange your transfer
City Accommodation - The complimentary transfer does not apply for City Centre or suburbs out of airport area. The cheapest way is to catch the number 17 Bryndwr bus from the bus exchange, this comes straight past the depot on Wairakei Road. Alternatively you can always catch a taxi approx $25
Please note: The latest vehicle collection time from the depot is 4.00pm, (3.00pm winter) so please consider your hire start date with this in mind if your flight arrival does not allow sufficient time to be at the depot by these times.
