The Best Time To Visit Philadelphia

Philadelphia Climate

The City of Brotherly Love is known for its cheesesteaks, the Liberty Bell and its hot, humid summers. While the rest of the year is relatively mild, summers can get muggy so make sure you have sunglasses, sunblock and plenty of water on hand. So When Is The Best Time To Visit?

If you're looking to avoid the heat and crowds of summer, spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) offer pleasant weather as well as low prices. However, it is still best to pre-book your accommodations and motorhome rental, no matter what season you decide to visit. You can find Campgrounds around Pennsylvania and great vehicles in RV Hire Philadelphia.

Summer

It starts to get hot in June, although July is still the most humid (and wettest) month of the year. This usually is not enough to turn away tourists who are eager to see the city's historic attractions and the 4th of July festivities. The days are still warm in August, and expect afternoon rain. It will be best to have an umbrella to go with your sunblock and sun hat.

Autumn

September is still pleasantly warm, and you can look forward to cooler climes in October and November. The days can still be mild but evenings can get very cold, so warm clothing and even an umbrella are still highly recommended.

Winter

The temperature dips to the low 30s in December, with a trace of occasional snow. January is still the coldest month, with February not being too far behind. If you are planning to visit during winter, be prepared for the chill with a winter jacket, warm clothing and a positive attitude.

Spring

March gives way to warmer days, and the cherry blossoms are in full bloom by April and May. This would be a great time to see the historical tourist attractions around the city, although there would still be occasional rainshowers and cool evenings. Bring an umbrella with your warm clothes and sunblock.
