Spring (March to April) to Autumn
(September to November) are great seasons to see the sights without
having to deal with the cold. Summer (June to August) also gets
plenty of tourists so you'll need to make early reservations on your

Alberta's most popular national parks and scenic towns before
enjoying Vancouver's natural and urban attractions.


The route sticks to sealed roads, and

Day 6 Jasper to Banff

Estimated Travel Period: about 4 hours 30 mins
Estimated Travel Distance:321 kms

Follow the Icefields Parkway (Hwy 93N) that connects Jasper National Park to Banff National Park. This route is condsidered as one of the most scenic highways in the world. You can stop at Lake Louise before heading to the quaint town of Banff.

 If you're thinking of going hiking or caving, make sure you have a cellphone or GPS just in case you lose your way. You may also want to bring plenty of water.

Day 7 Banff

A trip to Banff wouldn't be complete without a outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, swimming at clear lakes, fishing and camping.

Day 8 Banff to Revelstoke

Go mountaineering on the Hermit and Purity Range, or learn about the Rogers Pass National Historic Site, where you can also find mountain goats and bighorn sheep. You can also go birdwatching in Beaver River Valley.

Day 9 Revelstoke to Kamloops

Find a geological treasure when you go rock hounding or fossil hunting on the shores of Kamloops Lake. Hike through Peterson Creek Park and try scuba diving in Adams Lake.
