Go scuba diving in Clear Lake or rent a boat to explore Deep Lake. 

Learn about the history and culture of Winnipeg's Métis people at Le Musée de Saint-Boniface Museum. See an astounding 10kg pure gold coin (and other smaller but nonetheless substantial coins) at the Royal Canadian Mint.

Some may argue that it's only made of wood, but the White Otter Castle is a 3-story log house fit for a king (or queen) and with an interesting story to tell. There's also a nice beach to relax in at Sand Bar Lake Provincial Park.

Cast off into Nipigon River or Lake Superior to catch speckled trout, Atlantic salmon, bass or perch. Looking for art and history? There are famous Nipigon Murals around town, all of which were painted by professional artist Dan Sawatsky.

Watch eagles and timber wolves (at a safe distance) around Wild Goose Lake. Have a picnic along the banks for Kenogamisis Lake. 

Have some water fun in Big Nellie Lake, where you can also catch Walleye and Northern Pike.
