The success of the 1988 Winter Olympics paved the way for another patronized tourism spot in Calgary – the Canada Olympic Park. It is currently used as a training ground for athletes and also serves as a recreation hub. The winter months offer snowboarding, downhill skiing and cross-country skiing, while the summer months provides a number of heated festivals, as well as summer camps for the kids.
