Tempo° 08 is just around the corner! So mark your calendars for this coming Sunday, 28 September in downtown Auckland as Tempo° engulfs Queen Street in a giant dancing ‘wave’.
A celebration of dance in New Zealand! The festival will feature last year’s favorites plus new performances from New Zealand and abroad! Tempo’s philosophy is to increase, enhance and support society’s appreciation and experience of dance and how it relates to them. Offering a broad range of events, workshops, classes and performances. This is an inclusive festival, offering everyone the chance to participate in some way. Dance to the beat, put on those dancing shoes, get that tutu out of the closet! Whatever you want and going to do to get into the tempo! Tempo°, New Zealand’s Festival of Dance returns this September 28.
Check out this year’s line up. From the scrumptious ‘Cheek To Cheek’ duets showcase featuring ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Jonny Williams and Brian Jones and other dance styles such as hip hop, flamenco and contemporary, giving audiences a huge opportunity to experience and enjoy different forms of dance. Maori dances and engaging choreographies and many more! Get ready as Tempo° 2008 is sure to pump the city full of energy!
