“All was great. The staff very helpful in both depots. The vehicle - which I name Trigger - was great. It needs some repairs and perhaps some cushioning on cupboard door corners for clumsy people like me... My trip has been good and I've thoroughly enjoyed the benefit of having a bed to sleep on rather than lumpy ground in a campsite! 'Trigger' was surprisingly comfortable for me which was a godsend...! I would use this company again and make sure I book early enough...”

“The vehicle did not have what was in the photos, the stove did not work,there was no curtain to shower at the back of the van.when I rang you you have a phillipines call centre that was hopeless. The van was old and I would never recommend you to anyone because of the stove,call centre poor service from the call centre etc. you took days t confirm the booking overall terrible. The booking office is also old but people nice”

“The vehicle I had book was unavailable when I arrived, however I was given an upgrade. The front passenger seat was broken and slopes toward the door so it was bad for the passenger as it left with a bad back. The van itself was older style but clean and comfortable.”

“I felt save, everything worked well (exept for the fridge), nice little home for three weeks!!”

“Overall, the vehicle was exceptionally clean but we ran into mechanical issues that forced us to garages on two separate occasions during a ten day trip. As well, it took us almost two hours to collect the vehicle. The staff were friendly and working very hard but were clearly stretched thin.”

“No issues with the cleankiness of the vehicle or thr service. Easy to drop off ans responded fast with the booking. The van we had was Crap though. Struggled to start every time. Entire van shook and rattled every time we used the breaks. Had zero power and would drip from 100 to 30 kmph on most moderate to steep incline which really pissed a lot of drivers behind us off and was severely frustrating for us. The driver seat was cracked/ripped open & a lot of the curtain straps were pulled off. ”

“Everything worked as expected. The vehicle was fine for just myself. Would be too small for 2 people. I ended up not using the folding extension of the bed because that would leave too little of the floor space to be accessible. ”

“Rep who met as at ferry terminal said he had to catch a bus, no time for questions. Heat broken; made cabin freezing cold and fogged up the windows, which was a huge hazard driving in mountains. The nuts on 3 of the tyres were extremely loose, also safety hazard. The rep in Christchurch was dismissive of all concerns; only deducted $30.00 from our original $800.00 which in our view was much too low for the serious safety concerns we had.”

“Lovely to camp with and good to drive too. Everything is just great. Maybe except that the automatic petrol drinks quiet a lot though....”

“The camper was quiet old which I was aware of when I booked it. It ran like a dream and was pretty good on fuel. I was traveling by myself and I found this van small, I feel it would be too small for a couple for any more then a few days. I had to buy a new fry pan for the van as the one in the van was in pretty bad condition. I also had to buy a power lead to use at caravan parks.”

“Dirty, when I picked it up. Ready to be scraped I should think. Hired for just under 4 weeks but couldn't use it for 10 days as it wasn't registered.”

“This older vehicle has seen better days. The large logo was peeling off and looked unsightly with large amounts of paint missing. There was one plugin available for the cooler leaving us juggling plugs to charge our phones. The camper made a loud squealing sound when using the air conditioning. Since the driver delivered it on a hot day I suspect this fact was known though undisclosed to us. We lost a day of our vacation waiting for repairs and were lucky not to stranded in a remote location. ”

“Van ran really well but small maintenance items were notice. The chiller bin plug broken. Rear wiper rubs the glass. There were things missing from the cupboard. Wood inside camper were showing signs of moisture damage.”

“1st Van lasted 2 min, 2nd lasted 24 hrs and they knew of problem! Against contact to send out van with known problem.Vans are tired,dented,nothing like photos.”

“Cooler box did not work”

“Good trip and clean,comfy but old noisy van,no radio and no 12V working (so no sat nav or cool box). Van badly bashed but only broke down once and quickly fixed”

“The van was great, the depot was great. Dealing with Camper Travel was terrible! They were very unorganized and overpriced. I would never use them again. ”
