Mudgee’s cultural night of nights returns on Saturday 21 March 2009 for ‘Mudfest’, the region’s renowned international short film festival. Join hundreds of film buffs under the stars at Elliot Rocke Estate and enjoy 14 feature films that have made the final cut, along with local food and wine. Soak up the magical atmosphere of a vineyard at night with quality short films, and wine straight from the cellar door.
Get squidgy feet, make wine and eat like a king, that’s the philosophy behind this year’s ‘Footcrush Feast’ at in Mudgee. Held from 5pm on Saturday 14 March 2009, this relaxed and fun afternoon of traditional vineyard celebrations marks the 2009 Harvest at Robert Stein Winery. The event begins with a vineyard walk with winemaker Michael Slater, hand plunging of the cap (fermenting red wine), a traditional crushing of the Shiraz grapes in large barrels, and a sumptuous banquet featuring local autumn country food prepared by Deebs Kitchen.
