Miami Carnival - October 12, 2008

The Miami Carnival is one of the largest street festivals celebrated in the United States and is North America’s most popular Carnival and the highest profit-generating festival in South Florida . The highlight of the whole event is the carnival parade and festival on the final day at Bicentennial Park.

Parade starts at 12:00 noon on NE 27th Street at NE 2nd Avenue. Proceeds South on NE 2nd Avenue, East on NE 15th Street, South on Biscayne Boulevard, East on NE 13th Street, South on Bayshore Drive and into Bicentennial Park. The fun begins with the Mini Carnival and Jump-up Parade on Key Biscayne, with DJs, local personalities, mas bands and steel bands.

The area warms up with a mini-parade with costumed participants, Caribbean food, drinks and arts and crafts. The Carnival Parade has more than 25 steel bands, along with live entertainment from Soca stars and Miami DJs.

Drive down to the 2008 Miami Carnival in Downtown Miami’s Bicentennial Park on October 12th. Tickets run at $20 per person and anyone under the age of 12 gets in free.
