The Bozeman Ice Festival features lectures and workshops with some of the best ice climbers in the world. Whether you’re an expert or a beginner, the event aims to teach you something new and improve your skills.
The Bozeman Ice Festival is reaching new heights. After more than a decade of running two of the best grassroots ice festivals in the country, Barrel Mountaineering and Northern Lights Trading Company have joined forces with First Ascent Press and Montana Alpine Guides to create one single ice climbing event to kick off the Montana Ice Climbing Season.
The Bozeman Ice Festival’s mission is to promote the sport of ice climbing to people of all ages and abilities, to educate ice climbers about climbing skills and safe climbing techniques, and introduce climbers to cutting edge ice climbing clothing and equipment. Whether you are a novice climber, or leading WI 4, you will have the chance to learn ice climbing techniques, master the skills of movement on vertical ice, test your limits on mixed routs, and learn tricks and techniques from top woman climbers.
